“Il mio lavoro si sviluppa attraverso la lettura di simboli e simbolismi, talvolta tratti dal nostro quotidiano come, talvolta, ricercati in precisi periodi storici e geografici, poi tradotti in un linguaggio contemporaneo e personale.
La mia ricerca cambia, muta continuamente, matura, si alterna tra induzione e deduzione, appartiene all’oggi e si adegua al quotidiano che mi circonda e si rinnova.”
Nato a Cremona nel 1965, sin da giovane intraprende molti viaggi ed esprime le percezioni che ne riceve attraverso un’innata manualità creativa.
Sono i fortunati incontri con persone, culture, linguaggi e luoghi insoliti a fornire gli spunti dai quali si sviluppa la sua ricerca, che si esprime in forme funzionali e figurative.
Forme uniche perché fatte a mano, scolpite da blocchi compatti di materia, spesso lavorate nei luoghi d’origine, come l’Albizia Rosa delle Seychelles oppure il marmo, scelto e lavorato direttamente a Carrara.
La plasticità, la messa in risalto dei materiali e una voluta ed evidente artigianalità sono il denominatore comune di tutta la produzione. La ricerca di soluzioni innovative dal legno passa anche attraverso marmi e pietre che, estratti da solidi con un processo di “sottrazione”, svelano la forma voluta. Anche i metalli, che vengono lavorati in lastra o in fusione e poi completati con ossidazioni e patine, sono frutto di costante ricerca e sviluppo.
Dal 1995 al 2004 disegna e produce una collezione distribuita da Mondo Cappellini.
Nel 1998 inaugura il proprio atelier a Milano, luogo dove sperimenta e diffonde il suo lavoro.

" My work develops through the reading of symbols and symbolism, sometimes taken from our everyday life and sometimes sought in precise historical periods and geographical settings and then translated into a contemporary and personal language.
My research changes, continuously transforming and maturing. It alternates between induction and deduction. It belongs to today and it adapts to the everyday life which surrounds me and is constantly updating."
Born in Cremona in 1965, he has travelled widely ever since his youth and expresses his perceptions of his trips through his innate manual creativity.
His chance meetings with people and cultures, different languages and unusual places supply the ideas on which his research is based and they are expressed in his functional and figurative forms.
They are unique shapes because they are hand-made, sculpted and carved from solid blocks of matter, often worked in their places of origin, like the Albizia Rosa of Seychelles or the marble, hand-picked and worked directly at Carrara.
The plasticity of the materials, the relief work on them and the intended and evident craftsmanship constitute the common thread running through all his work. The search for innovative solutions from wood has also led him to marbles and stones which, extracted from solid matter, reveal the desired form through a process of “subtraction”. Metals too, which are worked in plate form or are cast and then completed with oxidations and patinas, are the fruit of his constant research and development.
